Pokerrito
Pokerrito one of the many poke ("po-kay") shop that opened up last year in Vancouver. They specializes in poke bowls and poke burritos. We have never been to Hawaii before and don't know if this considered authentic but we like it. We always come at lunch and the line up is usually to the door. But don't let that scare you away, the line moves fast. The crew at Pokerritohas the efficiency factor nailed down.
At Pokerrito you have a few options, a signature bowl of preset ingredients, make your own bowl (white or brown rice), poke burrito or salad (romaine lettuce).
We always opt to make our own bowl and go with the brown rice option. When you get to the first station, you tell the staff what you want. In our case, we told them that we wanted two regular bowls. At this stage you'll also need to pick two scoops of protein. If you get the large bowl you can have 3 scoops of protein. Note: Ahi Tuna and Wild Sockeye Salmon is a premium charge.
For the full list of the protein check out the note on the right. I listed the premium items on the top.
PROTEIN:
Ahi Tuna (+$1/Scoop)
Sockeye Salmon (+$0.5/Scoop)
Spicy Tuna
Blowtorched Albacore Tuna
Salmon
Scallop
Shrimp
Octopus
Tofu
At the second station you tell the staff what sauce and mix-in topping you want. The poke doesn't come pre-marinated so here you can pick from 6 mix-in toppings and 5 sauces to combine in a way that caters to your tastes. We usually go with all the mix-in toppings, wasabi basil and umami sauce.
MIX-IN TOPPINGS:
Green Onion
Sweet Onion
Cilantro
Kale
Lettuce
Cucumber
SAUCES:
Umami (House Dressing)
Wasabi-Basil

Moving to the third station you choose 2 of the 4 sides. If you want more than 2 it's $1 extra. I picked crab meat and avocado. Note: Avocado is a premium charge.
At the next station you choose 5 toppings in a list of 15 toppings. Additional toppings after 5 are $0.5 extra. I went with grape tomato, sweet corn, radish sprouts, masago, and edamame.

Seaweed Salad
Spicy Seaweed Salad

OVERALL IMPRESSION OF Pokerrito:
Pokerrito is offering flexible poke bowls and burritos with a variety of sauces and ingredients to build your own. The portion sizes are large and turn around time with getting food is fast! The assembly line structure reminds me of a Subway style setup. Ingredients look and taste fresh. Although the poke isn't pre-marinated it is definitely nice they have options. This is a place I recommend to all my co-workers and for those who work in the area because it's not too expensive, good portions, fast and tasty. I do however prefer poke that has been marinated already but those places usually offer smaller bowls or they run for the day. We have tried the poke burrito once but felt there wasn't enough sauce. Neither of us enjoyed it very much. It makes for a pretty picture though. Ask for more sauce just to be safe if you do get the burrito. If there is anything you love at Pokerrito and think we should try it next time, feel free to contact us!
The Bad:
Poke burrito tastes dry. Not enough sauce
Seating space is tight because of the line up occupying so much of the retail space. Get your food to go.
The Good:
Fair price for location
Large portions
Flexible poke bowls with many sauce and topping options
