2019 BMW 430i xDrive Gran Coupe
We take look at the very handsome 2019 BMW 430i Gran Coupe. If you’re new to BMW like me, you may have expected it to be a 2 door vehicle with Coupe in its name. It reminds me of a cross between a sedan and hatchback. It is a sedan with a hatchback style trunk.

BMW has taken comfort a lot more into account. The adaptive suspensions absorbs imperfections in the road.
Ergonomic layout is great for the driver!
Suspension soaks up road imperfections.
ECONOMY: 8/10
23/33/27- City/Highway/Combined (Premium Gas)
Great fuel economy but requires premium gas.
CABIN NOISE: 7/10
A bit of road noise when getting up to speed

Very handsome exterior that isn’t over styled
Estoril Blue Metallic paint colour is a head turner!
INTERIOR FOR DRIVER: 8.8/10
Heated steering wheel button is hidden behind the steering wheel oppose to other brands which usually have the button on the steering wheel. I found it tricky to figure out where it was but once you know its there you’ll never have problems finding it.
The glove box and side door storage is what most would expect to see but the middle column storage isn’t very deep!
It is genuinely fun to drive! Looks and feels like a sports car. The car seat can be adjusted quite low which make you closer to the road and you can feel more of what’s going on with the dynamics of the car.
The sport seats aren’t that sporty and although not being the quietest car in the category, it’s still a nice experience for a several hour road trip!
If you hold down the down shift paddle it automatically shifts down to the lowest gear it can use.
INTERIOR FOR PASSENGERS: 7.5/10
The sexy and sleek roof line comes at a head room costs for rear passengers.

Hatchback style trunk opening allows the Gran Coupe to swallow bulky items!
Good amount of trunk storage capacity.

Supports Apple Car play but strangely not Android Auto!
OVERALL IMPRESSION OF THE 2019 BMW 430i GRAN COUPE:
BMW’s 430i Gran Coupe is a sleek and handsome 4 door with a practical hatchback trunk with a well bit interior and it’s infotainment system is top class despite not having Android Auto support. The 4 series comes in 3 body variants, Coupe, Convertible and Gran Coupe that all boast a strong performance regardless of being a 4 cylinder engine. Ride quality is quiet and comfortable. My experience my was biased toward comfort but it can still excel at high speed in sport mode.
The 4 series is a car that’s got a bit of everything for everyone. It’s more civilized and practical than a true sports car but BMW still delivers a performance and atheletic experience for the driver.
Overall I can see why BMW’s reputation is so high in the auto industry after experiencing their cars for the first time. It’s going to make driving non European cars a lot less fun moving forward after getting a taste of this! I can see why BMW is the most searched automotive brand on Kijiji in Canada.
